Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing and distribution centers.
• Complete required vehicle inspections for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Understand and comply with DOT regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as company policies and procedures
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Must possess a valid CDL, Class A license.
• two years of proven work experience operating commercial vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
